The V-Riley opens with a low-top runner silhouette, built from mesh side panels and technical overlays that keep the front practical, laced through chunky woven cords. Step inside and a teddy lining meets a nylon footbed, the kind of cushioning that makes you forget you've been on your feet since eight. Dot-dash branding cuts across the panel like a signature nobody asked us to sign twice. Underneath, a deep-tread Vibram outsole does the heavy lifting, built for pavement, platforms and the occasional shortcut through the park.

  1. Before wearing your shoes we suggest protecting the shoes from any dirt by applying 2 layers of protection spray.

  2. To keep the protection layer active, remove any dry dust and dirt with a soft shoe brush and apply another layer of protection spray every 1-2 weeks.

  3. If a brush is not sufficient, you can use a nubuck/suede cleaning block to clean your shoes dry.

  4. If cleaning dry is insufficient, you can use a Cleaning Foam or Cleaning Solution, suitable for shoes. Use a brush to loosen any dirt and wipe it off with a clean cloth.

  5. After cleaning a moist surface, the protection layer might be damaged. We advise boosting the humidity of the leather with a leather care product before applying new layers of protection spray again.

Vibram has been making rubber soles in Italy since 1937, the year Vitale Bramani built the first lugged rubber sole for the mountains. The V-Riley runs on that same idea, a multidirectional tread that holds its grip on wet pavement and loose ground alike. Underneath, the cushioning does the quiet work of keeping long days comfortable.

The logo patch on the heel is embroidered with a raised stitch that lifts it off the surface, so it catches the light instead of sitting flat against it. It takes longer to produce than a print or a stamp, and that is exactly why it is there. Look for that same refinement everywhere else on the shoe.

The terry cloth lining is a detail lifted from the running shoes of the eighties, where it earned its place because it stays soft against bare skin and does not chafe over longer distances. It runs through the collar and the tongue, the two places a sneaker is most likely to rub. The texture is the same towelling you know from a sweatband, warm to the touch and quick to dry out after a long day. No breaking in, and comfortable from the first wear.
