  1. Before wearing your shoes we suggest protecting the shoes from any dirt by applying 2 layers of protection spray.

  2. To keep the protection layer active, remove any dry dust and dirt with a soft shoe brush and apply another layer of protection spray every 1-2 weeks.

  3. If a brush is not sufficient, you can use a nubuck/suede cleaning block to clean your shoes dry.

  4. If cleaning dry is insufficient, you can use a Cleaning Foam or Cleaning Solution, suitable for shoes. Use a brush to loosen any dirt and wipe it off with a clean cloth.

  5. After cleaning a moist surface, the protection layer might be damaged. We advise boosting the humidity of the leather with a leather care product before applying new layers of protection spray again.

We borrowed it from eighties running shoes, where runners relied on it to protect bare skin over many kilometres. You'll find it around the collar and along the tongue, exactly where friction usually builds up during the day. Think of the soft loops of a classic sweatband: they feel warm, absorb moisture and dry quickly once you take your shoes off. The result is a retro sneaker you can wear straight out of the box, with no breaking-in period.

On the side of the Quartz Auden you'll find a detail that belongs to Blackstone alone. A diagonal stripe and a round disc sit side by side, and together they form the letter b, the first letter of our name. On the stripe, the letters BLCKSTN are stamped in gold, a small finishing touch that gives the sneaker a refined, luxurious look. It's a subtle way of signing the shoe, instantly recognisable once you know where to look.
